With regard to personal development, some of the benefits
of being a CSTEP student include:
- High expectations, accountability, mentorship and individual
support. In addition to nine staff members to approximately
90 students (10:1 ratio) which increases the likelihood
for student’s success.
- Supportive community of other CSTEP students.
- Many opportunities to be involved in workshops, conferences,
and leadership roles.
- Student ambassadors for the college both off campus
and during open house panel discussions.
- Involvement in the CSTEP Statewide Day of Service.
- Interaction with Sheila Johnson and the Johnson Institute.
- Student/faculty mentor-mentee progam — lunches.
- Community action activities such as fund raising efforts
to help less fortunate children in Morrisville.
